It's the fall season and you can feel the air getting cooler, which means it's time to start thinking about doing indoor activities with your kids. The weather outside may be less than ideal, but there are tons of fun things you can do inside to keep the kids entertained. We've put together a list of some of our favorite fun fall crafts for kids!
Toilet Paper Roll Scarecrow
Get creative with these materials you will use to decorate your scarecrow. You can also make two or three and create a fun little scarecrow village!
Materials:
- 2 toilet paper rolls
- 1 long piece of string (approximately 1 foot long)
- Paper scraps
- Googly eyes
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pens (for decorating)
Directions:
- Cut one of the toilet paper rolls in half lengthwise.
- Use one of your long pieces of string to tie a knot around the center of each cut end. This will help keep the two halves together when you stand them up.
- Grab your paper scraps and googly eyes and get creative! You can glue on whatever you want to decorate your scarecrow.
No-Sew Sock Monster

If you have kids that love monsters, try making a sock monster! It’s easy to do and so cute!
Materials:
- Socks of different colors
- Buttons, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, yarn, and glue (optional)
Directions:
- Cut off the toe of each sock to make a hole for your monster’s face.
- Attach buttons or googly eyes with yarn to make eyes and attach pipe cleaners for arms and legs if desired.
- Glue on buttons or googly eyes for eyes if you wish; glue yarn onto one side of the sock to make hair; use glue or sew on buttons for the nose; add felt details with fabric paint if desired
